Question about Simpsons Releases? - Blu-ray Forum

I just bought Season 13 on Blu-Ray of the Simpsons. I also have the first season on DVD. I want to start collecting the whole series. Right now I am focusing on the Blu-Ray Releases. Is there a chance in the near future that Seasons 1 - 12 will get up-converted to blu-ray like the later seasons. Should I buy the DVDs of those seasons or wait for a possible release of the earlier seasons? Also are they going to re-release season 20 with more commentaries and Special Features or should I get the barebones release?

I think you'll be waiting a long time for that to happen, despite the fact it would probably sell. They're only doing one season a year currently, so it's going to take some time before they ever get caught up with the series in its entirety. If the series ends and they get caught up, I can see them maybe going back and re-releasing those older seasons... but that's a really big 'if', even then.
