Now, the big question is when? This being Criterion, the wait could be awhile. At least we know it's coming.

It would be ideal to pair Coffee and Cigarettes with the earlier short films. This is about all the Jarmusch we have left to get for now, besides giving Paterson some extras (current Blu-ray from Universal is barebones), and the other Amazon Studios title Gimme Danger only has a DVD only release from Sony in North America. Only Lovers Left Alive (Sony Pictures Classics) seems pretty packed with extras but you never know!

I have the German BD of Coffee & Cigarettes. It's excellent.

Fantastic news! Yesterday, I just noticed that Olive's Coffee and Cigarettes had gone OOP. Ghost Dog is one of my favourite Jarmusch films, so I'm happy it's finally coming to Blu-ray. I believe Jarmusch owns the rights to his films, which explains why Criterion has released so many of his films (besides being great cinema and likely good sales).

That is something else one of the posts at the Criterion Forum touched on. Jarmusch also mentioned that he likes working with the folks at Criterion and when the rights revert to him he turns around and offers them to Criterion.
