Default Home Alone 2 release date?

Anyone know when Home Alone 2 might be released? I'm surprised Fox didn't release it at the same time as the first film. The first one is a great, classic holiday film, but I like the second one just a bit better.

I don't think there is a date yet. Lost in New York is my favorite, as well.

It seems like everyone who likes the first one also likes the second one (myself included). It's rare for a sequel to be as good, if not better, than the original. It's a shame Fox didn't release them at the same time. It'll be at least a year before we see it since it's a holiday title.

I'm sure that it comes down to money. Fox will probably release Home Alone 2 by itself. And then later down the road re-release both Home Alone 1&2 as a double box set.

And in Reference to liking the second one equally to or great than the first i think that all comes down to the more grand of setting. Ya know i mean now he's in NYC and has a lot of places to carry out the story where as the first one he was just at home. So i think that made a big difference

you'll get a kick out of this:

to me home alone 2 was almost identical to 1, except in new york (and i mean that in a good way). i enjoyed them both, they're "fun" movies and aren't really supposed to require much thought, which is what the guy writing the article was doing too much of.

they are both great. i also was surprised they didnt release them together, home alone's transfer is a little weak though, maybe they will do a better job on home alone 2. 3 i could careless about.

Home Alone 2 suffered from severe Sequelitis (rehashing the exact same gags, just amping them up.)...but it works! The first movie was genuinely good and original, but the second works just fine as a guilty pleasure.
