Default Batman Begins Blu-ray

Hey everyone, I just wanted to know if anyone has the Batman Begins blu-ray...if it is really is a huge improvement in audio and video quality to merit be buying a high def version of the film rather than sticking with my two disc DVD?

Thanks!

i 2nd that. actually, if you managed to be one of the few people to snag a VHS copy when it was released, you'll find the VHS to be far superior to the DVD and Bluray.

in all seriousness, i upgraded my 2 disc because i think the movie rocks enough to merit an upgrade. it definitely looks and sounds better, but if its worth it is up to you.

Bored smart-asses aside, it is! Go for it. There's only a few titles which don't merit conversion...and those are all on the other end of the spectrum.

Great thanks! I was just asking because when I watch Batman Begins on my blu-ray player up-converted...it doesn't look that bad and I was just curious whether shelling out $20 would be worth it or not, but I will purchase it no doubt!

The blu will blow the dvd away in all aspects especially on your set up.

Honestly, Im to the point where even if the BD release isnt a huge improvement I still get the BD anyways just to unify my collection. I'm trying to move away from SD DVD as much as possible and replacing DVDs with BDs is the sure way to do it. I have a pretty small collection of titles I actually own though so its easier for me to get away from SD DVD.

Batman Begins is an excellent transfer and presentation on blu-ray, no doubt.

I have aprox 170 BRs and every single one of them have been an improvement over the DVD version whether its PQ, SQ or both. Out of 170, maybe five of them have been disapointing by BR standards, but not compared to DVD standards.

I don't care about what people say, it is one excellent blu, the PQ is sharp and the audio is rockin'. If your a fan of the film, it is totally worth a pick-up

It's not that much of an improvement in terms of PQ, though still is worthy of an upgrade. The point though where it really shines imo, is the upgrade to the hi-def audio. Which sounds awesome. Either way if I were you I'd make the upgrade for sure.

I say go for it. It's not overpriced like a lot of other catalog titles out there. Avoid the special edition Blu-ray though. The thing that was good about that one was the free movie ticket, which is now worthless. It had some other collectible stuff as well but none of that is worth the price difference. Amazon has the regular Blu for $17.99. Get it and something else, such as The Dark Knight Blu or soundtrack, and you can get free shipping.
