Ok so i bought this insignia player and i wanted to ask how do u connect hdmi and set it up?

well, I do not have an Insignia bluray player...but I assume once you turn it on, it should walk you through the setup.

just connect the bd player to the tv via hdmi and really you should be getting a welcome type screen to set everything up

Make sure the HDMI out is set to "on". This should be in the main set up menu... (on the PLAYER)

what model # is your Samsung?

most likely just use 1080p. (not 1080i or 1080p24)

If you get a blank screen, it means your TV is not 1080p.

so in that case use 1080i or 720p
