Default Panasonic DMP-BD55 or PS3 for my Denon Reciever??

I've been upgrading both of my Home Theatre systems and was wondering if anyone could tell me which blu ray player should go where. For my larger system in the family room, I have just picked up a Denon AVR-2809 with the following speakers: 2 Polk Audio TSi400's, 2 Polk Audio TSi300's, Polk Audio PSW125, Polk Audio CS20, and a pair of Polk Audio RM8 satellites. I have both a Panasonic DMP-BD55 and a PS3. Which blu ray player would sound best with the Denon and Polk Audio set up that I just got? Whatever one that I don't hook up to that set up will go in my living room with a Bose sytem that I picked up last year (before I knew any better! lol). Thanks

PS3 will decode the HD codecs internally so you will only use Linear not bitstream. So your reciever although being a good one is not going to be doing your decoding. If you buy any other standalone your player will do the decoding and you can go with bitstream.

It all comes down to. Do you want to play games?

if so the ps3 is great if not go with the standalone

just remember Fallout 3, Call of duty world at war, Resistance 2 are coming

I already own both a PS3 and the Panny DMP-BD55, I'm just not sure which one to hook up to the new system. Is going with the Panny and bitstreaming better for than set up? Thanks

use the panny for blu-ray & use the PS3 for games, hook both panny & PS3 to that Denny Reciever and you would have it all. What The Hold Up.

Your Denon will decode your Panny 55 and the PS3 will decode it as Multi-channel , but its PCM Linear. Always go into your setting in the PS3 to see what it decodes.
