Thanks so much!
Uhh, are you actually talking about HD-DVD's? They can't play in a Blu-ray player. You have to get a HD-DVD player to watch them.

HD DVD discs might be dual layer 30 GB, and Blu-ray discs can be dual layer 50 GB...however, the formats are not compatible (different type of laser used to read the information on the disc)... You will not be able to play an HD DVD disc in a Blu-ray palyer.

"Too early" isn't even something to consider. HD DVD is officially a dead technology. The only way to watch them now is to have a dedicated HD DVD player which aren't being manufactured anymore, the Xbox360 HD DVD player add-on which isn't being manufactured anymore, or a computer with an Blu-ray/HD DVD combo drive in it which I don't think are being manufactured anymore. And as for those computer drives that play both formats... all of the ones that I have seen in operation (used to work at Staples) are quite pathetic in the quality department.

So, don't bother with anything HD DVD. Save the money and buy a proper Hi-Def copy when it is released on Blu-ray.

Default Dual?

If I remember right the "dual" reference on HD DVD discs meant that one side of the disc was HD DVD and the other side was regular DVD which of course will play in a Blu ray player and be upscaled, but you will NOT be getting a true high def picture. Don't waste your money.
