Default A Woman, a Gun and a Noodle Shop

Any thoughts on this? I have very little experience with Chinese film and I was thinking of renting it.

Default Nope, haven't seen it.

Sounds like the start of a bad dirty joke. I haven't seen it, but I may check it out.

I'm hoping Zip.ca will get a copy I can rent (although their site only indicates SD, not BD). I have high regard for Zhang Yimou (I strongly encourage you to see his films from the early 1990s), although this particular film hasn't received entirely favourable reviews.

Yep! it seem they may have only the DVD copy but check often, for the longest time when I added Inception on my list all it was giving me was the DVD option but I was able to change it to Blu-ray 3 or 4 weeks after.

While eating lunch today (I always eat at my desk), I saw on their website that they now listed a BD version. I "zipped" the BD and unzipped the SD copy. Too bad that the SD was listed as available for immediate rental, but the Blu-ray isn't.

Of course, I've already had 8 "Gotta Have It" discs since I got back from Thailand a month ago, so I can't order any GHIs for a little while. And just today Zip finally put up two new Criterion BDs - about time.
