Why do only some blu ray has 7.1? - Blu-ray Forum

Why is that only New line Cinema and Lionsgate Films are the only one's that offers 7.1 Audio? While the others only give us DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 and Dolby TrueHD 5.1 or Dolby Digital 5.1 (Warner Bros)

. Is that means that there saving it for the next Format that will offer 7.1 and more. They better not.

one reason they don't use 7.1 so often is that it takes up tons of room on the disc and they know most people don't have 7.1 sound systems, so they rather spend that extra room on the discs for special features or for better Picture Quality.
