Default The Fall & Baraka

anyone seen both? Find it funny that Tarsem uses two scenes in The Fall almost exactly as filmed in Baraka? Chanting indians in the half circle and the spinning/dress guys. Also the music in Baraka with the wierd language woman and erie music reminded me alot of the scene in Eyes Wide Shut when Cruise is at the masked party, and his buddy (Nightengale?) is playing the organ. Sorry, that is pretty vague, maybe someone knows what I'm talking about.

I agree, there are some startling similarities. There was a discussion about this very topic here. (post #44)

Those spinning guys are called Dervishes or sometimes Whirling Dervishes.

On a side note, I like Baraka but thought it was vastly inferior to Koyaanisqaatsi.

hmmm...are you talking overall movie experience?...or quality?

I'm also curious about the more similarities pointed out above!

Both overall experience and quality. Not image quality though, obviously Koya is not on BD yet. I've been a long time Koya fan so was really looking forward to Baraka. Baraka was good but shallow compared to Koya.

I'm holding onto my autographed pre-release DVD of Koya for now!
