I just purchaced the Sleeping Beauty Blu Ray DVD. It plays all the trailers and even shows the screen to press play to play but the movie will not play. I had a simular problem with Iron Man but I was able to get it to play by going to the scene selection and it played from there. It will not do that on Sleeping Beauty! Whats up? I have a Sony BDP S300 Blu Ray player.

its a BD-Live disc....I had to disable Internet connection to get it to play since I didn't have my PS3 hooked up that day...try to find in your system a way of not allowing the disc to connect to the internet.
does this make sense? |

Sleeping Beauty is not working my 60GB PS3 either. I set the PS3 to allow BD Live internet access. I tried playing the disc with and without update and with and without BD Live. Nothing makes a difference. The problem is when it tries to go the main menu. I see the spindle briefly and then the screen goes black.
What is the trick to getting this title to load? I have no problems with other titles including Disney. |

I know some people got the movie to play when the disconnected the internet. What I don't know is if that is a one time thing or something I would have to do every time I wanted to play it. If the latter, I need to return the disc because that won't work for me. Huge inconvenience. |

Are you located in the US? Are you able to get to the Playstation store or other internet sites without issue? Reason I'm asking is because I'm wondering if the BD-Live bit is streaming very slowly to your PS3 or if it's timing out entirely.
At this point, the server for Sleeping Beauty shouldn't have major traffic on it, so it shouldn't be an issue. It could be though if your internet isn't too hot or if you're outside the US. I would recommend putting the setting on "Request" and just hitting "No" for this particular title and seeing if that'll get you to the movie. |

I am in the U.S. I have cable internet and a huge pipe. No problem there. I thought maybe the Java on the PS3 is running slow, so I waited 15 minutes for the menu to load. Never did. I tested the disc on my home PC (It has an LG Blu-ray drive and PowerDVD 7.3x), and it works. That made me happy and sad. I am off to try the Confirm option. Update: The Confirm option worked. I turned it on, played, and then set back to Always, and it works with BD Live. Thanks again! Last edited by kamiller42; 12-17-2008 at 12:38 AM. |
