Default Connection Issues

Has anybody had this problem or have a workaround ?

I unpacked the kids new PS3 and connected to my Panasonic TH-50PZ850AZ via HDMI. In the setup I also set connection to HDMI (over auto).

I then decided kids would be better off using my Sony Bravia rear-proj and connected via the AV cable - TV can't see a thing.

Did the "hold your finger on th on/off button and PS3 will reset to standard display" - no change.

Reconnected to Panasonic and changed connection settings from HDMI to automatic - there is no hybrid HDMI/AV connection setting.

Reconnected to Sony - no change ?. Did the hold and reset a few times, picture flickers when switched on - but no video ?

Thanks

Your Sony does not accept 1080P like your Panny. You must set it up on your Panny first and uncheck the 1080p box or if the Sony is a max of 720 uncheck both the 1080p and 1080i boxes. Then reconnect to the Sony.

You cannot go back and forth TV's easily unless they are both the same native resolution.

Did you hear the beep?

While the PS3 is off, press and hold the Power button until it beeps. If you're going from HDMI to MultiOut, then the HDMI cable must be unplugged and only the MultiOut be plugged. If it doesn't work the first time, do it a second time.
