Best Speaker and Receiver combine for under $1000? - Blu-ray Forum

Any good suggestion, so far i like this one Onkyo HT-S9100THX Link What do you think any other good suggestion under $1000 (both speaker and receiver, can be separate as long is under 1000)

That setup is pretty much the best you will find in an HTIB setup, but you can do better with that budget. How about THIS Pioneer receiver, and THESE Energy speakers? These Energy speakers are a steal at this price...$599 with free shipping! I'm not sure if you want full sized speakers or satellites so I'll provide some other options for both types. Good satellite options are THESE, THESE, THESE with THIS sub, THESE, THESE, THESE, and THESE.

For full sized speakers you can go with Sony and get a pair of THESE for fronts, THESE for rears, THIS for a center, and THIS sub. You can go with Polk and get two of THESE for fronts, a pair of THESE for rears, THIS and this for a center. The Polk option doesn't leave you any room for a sub, but you can save up and get one of the two I listed at a later date, or you can spend an extra $60 on top of your budget now and get THIS if you want a sub to hold you over awhile.
