Samsung BD-P1500 programming issues - Blu-ray Forum

Hey guys, my first post...

i got this blu-ray player with no remote and am having problems getting it to work with my 3 universal remotes: Scientific America UR5U-8400, Sony V710 and RCA RCR612. Any codes or ideas would be appreciated. I don't love the idea of dropping 100+ dollars on a remote cause everything else works with cheap remotes...

Check the Samsung web site for the remote codes - you should be able to program your remote, if it's not crippled by being set up for a specific manufacturer. I doubt you'll get all the features, though.

none of the codes under "Samsung- DVD" work from the RCA website....

I know you said you don't want to spend a lot, but I recommend a harmony one.They make life easy ,also you get the full function of every device. Sorry if that doesn't help.

there has to be a $50-ish option right? i don't even need all the capability! I just want it to play!
