Default Few Questions with the Panasonic DMP-BD35

My posts are getting lost inside the Panasonic 35 sticky thread so if anyone has some answers...

1 - The Disney/Panasonic deal with the two free blu-rays. It says to use the original receipt but what if I need that at some point. Is scanning the receipt and making a copy allowed?

2 - My player works great and the PQ is beautiful but when I'm using my remote to switch inputs to go from cable to the HDMI input it says "DVD" and not "Blu-ray" or "1080P" on the TV's display. Is that a problem?

3 - When I first turned on the player it had the initial setup menu but I accidently skipped over it and haven't been able to get back to it to make sure all my setups are correct. I've gone in and made sure the video is set up the way the manual says with 1080P video, 24 fps, etc. Is there a way to get back to that screen or do you think it's fine as long as the video stuff is set up correctly?

Any advice is appreciated.

1) most places will accept a photocopy. its unrealistic for companies to ask for your only original copy of the receipt. although it wouldnt be the first time companies make it difficult for consumers to get free stuff. so i wouldnt be surprised if they did actually require the original receipt.

2) it sounds like what you're describing is your TV's hdmi input is simply LABELED as DVD. I'd be willing to bet you can change the name of your tv's inputs to whatever you want it to say. if you want to change it to blu-ray or 1080p to make yourself feel better, by all means. heh.

3) read your manual. i think its been an ever growing problem with people now days on this site that whenever they run into any problem or hiccup what so ever with any piece of their equipment, they instantly log on and start making threads upon threads upon threads about questions that are more than likely answered in the first few pages of your user manual.

Thanks I think. I apologize for coming on and discussing blu-ray issues with fellow Blu users.

I've read the manual that's why I pointed out that I think my settings are fine but I haven't been able to get back to the exact menu I saw pop up when I first plugged the player in.

LOL.....good for you Mike Z. I am fairly new here but have quickly come to realise that certain folks would rather bash people who post honest questions rather than to help a fellow Blu user out.
