Talking I got a Wii!

I bought a Wii yesterday. The graphics suck...lol, but it is the most fun thing I have ever played. I love it!

Great to hear. I bought my Wii on release date, however i've never really played it. It's been sitting gathering dust for the last few months. Haven't really had time.

The controller (Wiimote & Nunchuck) is definitely the most sophisticated piece of equipment i've ever seen (and used). It's very interesting.

I should really find more time to play my games... UGH!

you should of got a gamecube! Just the same sort of thing. The only diffrence with the wii is that the wii had a remote and an internet broser.
Could of saved alot of money

Well the Wii is WAAAY more interctive than the Gamecube. That's why it's selling like hotcakes. Price too.

I can't understand how people get a Wii and come to a board like this (that is full of adults) to celebrate it.

I would think that most here are past the 6-12yr old audience the Wii caters to, and being audio/videophiles that a better portion of us would be totally against something that incorporates 6 yr old technology.

The Wii IMO is an abomination to video games everywhere. Ok, nifty controller...but at the expense of terrible graphics and piss poor sound? To me, Graphics and Sound are just as important as gameplay...and attempting to re-invent the wheel with the Gimmicky Nunchucka just isn't enough to compensate for the lateral step in audio/video.

As an HDTV enthusiast I would be embarrassed to have paid $250 for such a pathetic Consumer Electronics Device. It amazes me the stupidity of millions of people and utter lack of knowledge of whats out there by some consumers.

But hey, for every 1 person like me, there are 5 more meat heads waiting outside of a gamespot every morning to see if they got any Wii's in

If Wii had supported HD, I might of got one. I've played one, seen one, not that impressed. I played interactive type games on my Dreamcast, only that Wii is much more, it was fun at the beginning but the only time I wanted to play was when I was energetic.

Wow, I lurk here far more than I post, but this one made me start typing.

I, like you have no interest in the gimmicks of the we. I hold audio/graphics in high regard as well in my game enjoyment.

But your post is awfully offensive to others. I don't think that ignorance should be equated with stupidity, nor personal preference of entertainment choices.

I personally don't enjoy certain types of sports such as golf. I don't think that it should be considered a sport, and
find it boring. But I can't hold it against people that due.

I do understand your logic of this may not be the best forum to celebrate purchasing a wii, but I think it would have been better left at that.

As someone who has always been a big supporter of nintendo, I guess I just am really dissapointed in their weak-sauce approach to this console generation. And I do not buy out of loyalty, you have to earn my dollar. Slapping a nintendo license on it, and packaging up last gens technology into a new box, IMO is ripping off people. But hey, Thats on them(those who buy the POS)...Count me out.
I hope those that read my post don't take it as PS fanboy Bashing, but rather a dissapointed Nin fan.

They could have constructed the wii a lot better.

Opinions are like A$$holes. Everyones got one. But I think we should keep the harsher things to ourselves and just go out and get a beer. Anybody feel me?? I mean if you don't like it you don't gotta buy it.

I feel ya buddy. Where's the love? I have a wii, but I never play it. Nintendo dropped the ball. It honestly feels like they made it for kids. It's pretty underwhelming.

I beg to differ. You can have the best graphics and sound, but if gameplay sucks I do not want to even look at it. I plan on getting a Wii for my daughter so I guess if I am waiting at a gamespot than I am a meat head as well. Is it stupid to want to cater to the wishes of one's daughter? Again I stress this evertime I come on these threads, QUIT HATING. Yes PS3 is the bomb, and it rules all.....but the other systems do have something to offer. You come off concieted, arrogant, and above all one-dimentional.

I bought a WII on release date because I love nintendo and wanted Zelda more then anything. I also bought Red Steel (among other games) thinking it would have free-reign swordplay and was highly disappointed... Zelda is outstanding though. The graphics are a little better then old XBOX. Just like the PS3, once the good games start coming out, the WII has a great amount of potential. Until then, mine is just sleeping!

I agree with everything TBOneCapone said.

Graphics and sound are important part of playing video games, but it really comes down to having fun.

After playing the wii, I really don't care to go out and buy one, but those who do like it, I say congrads. I'm happy for you.

BTBuck1, you may be a dissappoint Nin fan, but it's hard not to take it as a PS fanboy bashing, since all your post, I've read, have been bashing the Wii and Xbox 360.

Plus remember Nintendo doesn't have the money, like Sony and MS, to research and delevople a system has advance has PS3.
