Default Blu-Rays w/definite 2009 Release Dates Thread

There are so many random threads saying: such & such is being release March 24 or this one is being released April 7.

Can we start a thread (this one ) to have a "one stop shopping experience" if you will so people don't miss out on something when a thread is buried after a couple of days???

Just a thought.

What I want to know is why Universal is promoting the rerelease of all three Back To The Future movies (even on the new BSG set) without a Blu release at the same time.

On the menu bar across the header (top of each screen view) on this site:

Select "MOVIES"

then from the blue column down the left side...

Select "RELEASE LISTS"

from there...

Select: "COMING SOON"

from there...

Browse, ordered by release dates, all of the BDs scheduled in the coming months/year.

This list is updated with new information as it is received. It is THE source for this information you're seeking. select it through the menus and it is never "buried" out of sight, it's always there to be selected. You could also bookmark the page for instant access.

Good liuck!

i understand that and do appreciate your comment.

i was just thinking that whenever a movie is announced, rather than start a new thread, the release date could be dumped into one massive thread. just like any Dark Knight news/comments get put into the massive Dark Knight thread.

i personally would rather check the forum for news b/c different members find release dates on all of the other sites they frequent instead of checking the "coming soon" list. but that's my personal preference.

But then one would have to read the entire thread to find if a movie they are looking for has been announced. It's really easier to check the coming soon section the Samsang described it.

OK, I get it now.

Personally, I'd like to see those lists formatted with the movie titles only -- no cover photos, just the text. It would be so much easier for my eyes to scan that way.

Moderators, that's not a complaint, just my humble opinion. I'm very grateful for the scads of info availible here, regardless of the format.

holy crap are there a lot of pages over in the coming soon section!!!

i'm gonna refine my original statement. how about any news going forward on new releases?? b/c i see 2 threads for X-men now. just a thought.

i like to add this info to my personal "want list" that i keep in my desk @ work so i know when i have to start budgeting for purchases.

i can't wait for a definite date for Gladiator and Lord of the Rings this year. and then when all of the summer blockbusters start to be announced, i figured 1 massive thread may cut back on the others that will be built saying "revenge of the fallen confirmed for Sept. 29" or whatever the case may be.

benny i completely applaud your idea, but i doubt it would work because newbies and people that don't know about the sticky will likely continue to create new threads asking/posting news.

but it might work......i like the idea.......

It would work, as long as one person was dedicated enough to updating the first couple of posts constantly.
