Depends on the LCD you are buying.
Some will look crap, others will look amazing. How much are you looking to spend? |

You will have considerable input lag with that TV because of the AMP and LED backlighting. For TV and Blu-ray though it is amazing, I just got the 46" version!

"plasma's look better"
yeah if the colored dots to produce the video don't bother you when your close up to the screen,i have an lcd,i play close up,don't notice the pixel dots at all.. played on my bud's 50'' plasma, you'll notice it but get use to it Plasma's are good for playing low res 480p picture too,try it on an lcd and you'll notice alot of fuzz that the lcd pick's up.... doesn't matter a whole lot about the LCD vs plasma...like the guy above said before, the high end expensive LCD's are wicked, same as the plasma Tv if it's high end, stay away from the crap $800 and under tv's Last edited by blu_world; 01-29-2009 at 02:34 AM. |

Just my personal opinion, plasma might look better but I won't recommend plasma for games as they can burn in and LCD do not burn in.

i have the Sharp LC32GP3U. It's a full 1080p LCD tv.
Love it, it's only 32", but it has no. input. lag. AT ALL. Considering how it is meant to be a "gaming LCD", with Sharp's 'Vyper Drive' which is supposed to reduce all input lag. Has 3 HDMI inputs for all your high-def needs. HardOCP forum users also use it as a monitor and say it's quite a good monitor as well. |

That may have been true many years ago, but that is not the case with today's good-quality plasma displays (unless you treat them as airport flight schedule display monitors). Please read the multiple threads on this topic around here before you post misinformed statements like that. Oh, and LCDs can have permanent burn-in, also. You'll just have to leave static images on longer than plasma. |
