Default Help On front Speakers

Hello everyone I'm still looking to get front speakers but I hit a bump in the road I was looking to get the Polk rti 8 but the only ones I have found are used on amazon and I don't want to get used speakers. I have a Polk Audio CSi3 Center and a PSW 505 Sub. So what im asking for is suggestions I have a max 500 limit 250 per speaker

Thanks in advance

Did you try eBay? There are some decent online venders that usually carry Polk equipment.

I found a couple options for you that will be timber matched to your center speaker; more like an upgrade from the RTi8. J&R.com is an authorized Polk Audio on-line retailer. These are within your price range.

I don't know if you are looking for a black wood cabinet or cherry cabinet. The RTi12's are only available in black on that site. The RTi A5 is available in black wood and cherry. The A5 is almost identical to the RTi8 you were looking for. Hope this helps.

How about the Polk TSi400s? Would they be timbre-matched for the center you have, or at least the difference would be negligible? They look very nice...$600 on the Polk website.

I'm sorry I thought you meant your max would be $500 per speaker.

Not sure about your time frame on purchase but Fry's has RTi8 on sale periodically for $298/pair. They don't have it on sale now and not sure if they will again but they had this sale at least once a month for the past three months. I predict (and hope as I need to purchase a pair as well) that it will go on sale by end of the month.

I would stick with the rti series as the tsi will not timbre match with the rti's. I am a member at polk forum and have ordered from the ebay sight. My speakers showed up new in the box no scratches and no refurbished sticker and everyone else on polk site has order from there has said the same thing about their speakers order from there also. If you can spare a little more coin or wait and watch they have the new rtia7s for 499 a pair plus shipping on polk direct. They are the new version of the rti10's

http://cgi.ebay.com/RTi-A7-Black-Tow...742.m153.l1262

They usually have the new rtia5's which is the new version of the rti8's for 399 plus shipping. I am sure if you can wait on the 5's or spare a little extra coin on the 7's, you will be very satisfied. As I said earlier and you can check polk forum for their thread on the ebay store. Speakers show up in brand new condition and no refurb sticker and they still carry polks normal warranty.
