Default Ordering from Newegg.com

How is their shipping? I plan on ordering some Polk Monitors from them since they have a pretty awesome deal on the Monitor 50's and wanted to know how they ship...more so, do they just throw a label on the box that says Polk Audio etc and ship it that way or is it inside a blank box? I am going to order 2 Monitor 50's a pair of Monitor 30's, possibly two pairs and a CS1...just want to know...Thanks!

From my experience, unless you're ordering small items, you will get the standard box that the item comes in with a shipping label...

My computer case and two monitors came this way. Fortunately, I have someone at home all day that can take in the packages. A co-worker who also builds his own computer and for others had similar treatment with a 24" monitor. But they were lightly smart about it and tucked it in the door.

Considering the size of the Polk 50's, expect them to be shipped in their original packaging.

Also, you're in NJ (according to your profile), so that means that you will most likely receive your item the next day. I usually place my orders around 9 in the morning, and usually get it the next day.. I'm on Long Island by the way..

Next day? What kind of shipping did you get? the free shipping? If so then that is awesome. I am more so nervous about UPS, they never ring the door bell or knock on the door when they deliver stuff anymore. I have to be on watch for them, and they normally don't come here until 6-8 at night. and I have had large items I ordered delivered to the wrong address. I just hope that when I order them they actually get here

It's probably 1 day because they have a distribution center close to NY/NJ.

If your total order is pretty expensive, most likely you'll have to sign for it which means UPS will have to knock on your door.

With everything I have ordered from Newegg with the free ground shipping, I have had minimal waits to receive my product. I think the longest was when I had two motherboards, 2 CPUs, 8 dimms of RAM, and a couple HDDs.. Took 3 days to get to me. I believe all the packages were coming out of Eastern PA or Western NJ. I can't remember since I haven't had the need to order from them in a few months.

Awesome! Thanks, I didn't know that they shipped from PA or in NJ

I have also been very happy with my newegg orders. My computer tower was shipped by sticking a label on the tower box, but it arrived in excellent shape.

You can give them a call with further instructions once you get the tracking number. You should also be able to call when it shows as "Out for delivery".
I've done so on several occasions, to ask the UPS guy to come back or tell them to give me call 10 minutes before they are at my place, just in case I am not there, yet.

Also about Newegg, I have spent close to 20k (office and personal use) with them over the years and never had any shipping problems!
Actually I never had any problems with them period.
The only thing that ever happened was that a LaCie Lego brick drive died after about 2 1/2 months use. I called them, they shipped a new one the next day, along with a box to return the other one.

Newegg honestly is THE best place to get computer parts and some other electronics online, fast and reliable! Can only recommend them to anyone.

I don't know if it's any difference between Amazon (or any other online retailer) and Newegg using UPS to ship goods but every single time I ordered something from Newegg the package always requires a signature.

I recently ordered a $17 spindle of DVD+R media with free shipping at 11am Eastern on Wednesday and I received them on Thursday. And it required a signature. I am in Queens, NY. I dunno if this helps you but I hope it at least gives you some comfort.

I never had to use signature, every time I come home there is a box by the front door we don't use. So when a package is expected, I just need to remember to check the font door... I been trying to get them to drop them off on the side, by the garage, so the box can't be seen from the road...

Newegg is a very good company, but honestly I'm not fond of thier shipping at all. I live in PA and even when I select the overnight & fast processing options it still takes 2-3 days from when I order it for it to get here. Their shipping policy even states that if you order by 9am, choose overnight & pay for fast processing you still may not get it the next day.

They're 2nd on the list of places I buy brand new tech products from, but if Amazon is close in price I'll go with them because Amazon has never dissapointed me with shipping whereas Newegg has all but once.

They are reputable though, don't get me wrong...but if you're impatient or are ordering on a Wed/Thurs and want it by the weekend I would go with someone else. If you're willing to wait a few days and they're the best price, you'll be treated well.

I don't think their customer service is any better or worse than Amazons, personally.

i think that's all in the eye of the beholder, depending on how much you've used newegg's customer service. i've had to contact their customer service before for numerous issues, and they were incredible about dealing with them. one of my friend's friend's works for newegg and he says the supervisors constantly have meetings to remind the CSMs that it is always their goal to make sure the customer hangs up the phone satisfied, even if that means occasionally breaching their company policies. ive experienced this first hand when they let me return a faulty product 23 days outside of the 30 day return policy, shipping paid for. can't go wrong with newegg

I'm not saying they have poor customer service...I've dealt with them a couple times, and I've dealt with Amazon slightly more. In each case, I've been VERY satisfied.

I wasn't saying they're the same as a slam against newegg, I just happen to think that both newegg & amazon are doing bang up jobs and I have no complaints about either. I'm just not happy with neweggs pseudo-overnight shipping
