sad to see Nolan was shut out of best picture, director, and screenplay
![]() i dont think i agree with TDK getting best picture but receiving a nomination would have been nice. for the 2nd greatest B.O. hit they sure aren't rewarding it a lot. nolan had to have done something right... |

Very happy to see that they loved Milk and Doubt so much. Those are my 2 best. Slumdog will get everything so it's pointless to even hope but, still.... I'm getting a bit sick of the Button bandwagon. |

i knew the dark knight would pretty much be shut out. as great as that film was it wasn't oscar worthy. i knew that and i didn't care. just because it's not oscar worthy doesn't mean it's not still one of the best films released in the 10 years. many of the greatest movies made were shunned by oscar.

a lot of oscar nominated movies these days just seem high and mighty. or at the very least they don't seem to appeal to me as much as they used to 20 years ago. that doesn't mean the movies aren't good. they just don't have an appeal to me. i've only seen one of the best picture nominees and out of the other four i only really want to see two of them.

I was hoping for TDK to do better, Im just tired that everyyear we get the art films, I think the oscars should ahve more catagoers like best comedy film and so on, make it more far for movies that are really good but never will get a oscar nod. And the shocker is, where is Clint Eastwood, I mean two films, acting, dictor, song writer and singer, come on. I really dont know if I watch this year.
