Default Terminator!!!

I have never seen any of the Terminators. I just saw the preview for the new one when I went to see Watchmen, and it looks awesome. I wanna catch up on the other movies, are they any good, should I skip any, like do I need to watch others to know whats going on in this one? I like Christian Bale as an actor, so that is also why I want to see the new one.

T3 definetly wasn't as good as the others imo, and T2 was the best, but they're all worth seeing.

I still prefer the original Terminator...T2 was cool for the time, but I can't get past that damn kid...ruins the movie for me every time.

I've seen all. I did not like Edward Furlong as John Connor. I was like kill that little bastard. I'm hoping that Terminator Salvation can work without T2 and T3. T2 was good but ole Edward ruined it for me. The Terminator is a classic. Hopefully there will be a re-release on blu-ray and the movie will be cleaned up really well as good as Blade Runner.

They are worth owning definitely. Especially T1 and T2..
If you become a fan after watching the first two, I guess you can get T3 too...but if you dont , I recommend you just renting T3.

I will picking up Sky Net edition of T2 when it hits stores =]

I love The Terminator, T2 is just about as good as The Teminator, T3 is not great but it is a necessary movie.

I own T3 but I picked it up for $ 6.99 I belive, if I remember correctly.

T2 is one of my favorite all time movies. I was hoping T3 would take its' place, but no. I think T4 will be the one.

The first movie is really a sci-classic IMO.

T2 was good, but not like the first one.

T3 was fair, nothing special.

T1, movie classic even though the special effects are rough compared to modern effects.

T2, amazing! Transformed the genre into something all new with the special effects and story telling. If you weren't old enough to see it at the theater at least twice, don't speak.

T3, weak attempt at T2 but still important in the story.

I pretty much agree with all of what you said, although I must say I thoroughly enjoyed T3. Not so much for story advancement and/or character development, but on the merit of it being an awesome action flick.

Totally agree with you about T2. That movie changed movies, similar to what Jurassic Park did around the same time, and what Star Wars did before.

I've got a friend who was just saying the same thing about this movie today! I totally disagree, but it's all good. I loved the movie, and I was OK with the whiny kid. It's his later works that turned me off to him entirely, but I LOVED (and still love) T2.

+1. I don't see why everyone is so in love with T2. For me, I actually think T2 might be my least favorite out of all 3.

^How could T2 be your least favorite. That's your opinion and I gotta respect that. I saw T2 in the theater and I had to sit on the floor...it was that packed...and for it's time it was revolutionary. It's no wonder it's on everybody top "must-have" list. It's just a classic.

Edward didn't bother me for the most part, but there were definitely some rough patches ("no escape but what we make for ourselves"...that line makes me cringe everytime I hear him say it). I used to think he should have continued on as John Conner, but now I see why they went with someone else.
