Default DG920 Help!!

I just recieved my 920 today, i set it up, calibrated it, now i hooked my ps3 up and put on dark knight. The problem is it used to say linear pcm during the movie now it says dolby digital 3/2.1 but in the menu before the movie in the ps3 xmb it says linear Pcm. is something wrong? shouldnt it come as pcm?
also my old 720 it would pick the hd audio, now it seems i have to go in and select true hd. but it still just says dolby digital 3/2.1

It should be pcm on the receiver. You are hooked up by hdmi, correct? To be safe you can deselect all other output types from the audio settings menu. Also, make sure you change the audio track, as it defaults to Dolby Digital and not the TrueHD track.

hdmi yes! audio setting menu on bd or ps3? i switched to iron man and thats true hd default and still dolby digital it displays. i went into menu same thing. im in the xmb on ps3 right now and it says linear pcm, as soon as i boot up a disc it changes.
someone please help

I unchecked everything but pcm tracks from the ps3 and it plays lpcm. but i shouldnt have to do that right?

when you are playing a disc that according to your receiver is saying DD, press the select button on your ps3 controller and read what audio track is playing.(info on the top of the screen in the middle)

on your receiver did you select direct for sound. And the Ps3 does not output a True HD signal. Your receiver should show the signal as Lpcm

i am an idiot. i swapped an old reciever in while i waited and set it to bitstream lol. i had to change everything back to pcm. whoa im dumb.

one other question about the setup, the 920 asked if i wanted it full flat or engineer after calibration which should i select? also do i want the digital cinema sound on?

Press the AFD button on the remote, that will take it off of Digital Cinema Processing. Full Flat or Engineer.... IDK, I just left it to whatever it had selected.... In the manual it says what they are, but I just left it.
