Maybe it's just me but when TVs get thinner than 1" that's too thin for me. I don't want a TV that I can break up like a cookie.

i think the point is to show that technology is advancing, it is probably not practical for most of us but companies want to show their capabilities when it comes to R&D

Yeah that's a little too thin, I like how the stand itself (pardon pun) "stands out" in the picture, good stuff though.
