When I get my rear speakers, i will have to run them obviosly from my receiver to my back wall. this will be in the basement, so no going throught he floor. I *might* be able to go under the carpet, but I do not think so.
so, i was thinking I saw some thing that covered up the wire that was like white and taped or glued or something into the wall, and run that on the corners all the way around...then, when I paint the walls, i will just paint those. Sorta like those big things they use to cover up cords at live events, but on the wall, best way I can really describe it. does anyone know what I'm talking about? If so, whats it called and where cand I find it? |

I think I'm going to pass on this product only becuase I think i can put the wire under the carpet, then pull the trim off the wall and place a hole in the wall (covered back up by the trim) and a hole in the wall by the speaker and fish them down...then replace the trim.
What is the standard way of grabbing the wire once it is in the wall? Attach a weight somehow to the wire and go from there? |

That's pretty much exactly what I needed to know...the magnet / coat hanger trick is exactly what I'll do. now, to find some sort of weight...maybe go to the sporting goods section and find one in the fishing area?
