What Blus should I get this week? - Blu-ray Forum

Hey,

I was just wondering what blus you suggest I buy this week. I only want to buy three...which do you suggest and why?

Planet Earth
Apocalypto
The Thing
Speed

I can only buy three. If there are any other suggestions, that would be great.

Apocalypto - Top end PQ/cool movie!
Speed - Fun movie/good picture.
The Thing - Awesome movie but with a smoothed over waxy picture. The HD DVD had more detail because Universal removed the BD's grain. Lacks features that the HD DVD had. Disappointing but still a movie worth owning!

Get planet earth it's one the best looking blu's out there

Forget speed just rent it and buy the other 3. Make sure you get the bbc version of planet earth its 1080p the other is i

i'd consider these first:

Dark Knight
Casino Royale
Raging Bull (watched it tonight...recommended!)
Godfather trilogy
Band of Brothers

Get the BBC Version of Planet Earth. Then 2 of your favorite movies that are on Blu Ray. If you have a good surround system and use it, then get an awesome action movie.
