I've noticed that Sainsbury's Entertainment seem to have some great prices of Blus and games, was thinking to place a few orders with them, however I haven't used them before. I wanted to know how their service is? I've heard positives and negatives, I want to know how they are on pre-orders especially, do you receive on or before release date? Also how's their packaging and service?

Would appreciate any feedback, thanks.

I have changed some of my preorders with them. Amazing Spiderman 3D was the deal breaker. £14.99 compared to the £20 everyone else is charging. I'd also be interested in their shipping speed.

They do have the best prices more times than enough,I have ordered four Blu-rays from them this week(few different dates)two were despatched the following day after order placed,another on the 10/08/12 and this morning,both of them have yet to be posted.
I did cancel my Evil Dead steelbook order as I don't know what their packaging is like for them.
My Planet Earth boxset did arrive in perfect condition last month and I previously had a ps3 which was delivered in good time.

Mine was a bad experience I'm afraid... preordered an item and 2 weeks later it still hadn't been dispatched. When it was, it arrived damaged. To be fair, they sent me out another straight away which arrived in good time. This is only once however, and every store has their bad moments so don't be put off by me. I'm going to use them again to see if that one time was a fluke!!

If I do not end up getting a 3D TV then will cancel it. lol
I should be getting one in next 2 weeks but depends on bonus from work.

They are very good in my experience. They do tend to send steelbooks in whatever packaging comes to hand - either a sturdy hard envelope thing or a jiffy - but Ive never had any problems.

Got my Hurt Locker steel in a sturdy envelope which wasnt ideal but the steel was mint. Only cost £7 too which is a bargain! Nice art cards with it plus commentary track which wasnt on the normal blu too!

I've been using them for games and BDs for the last year and games have always arrived on release day and BDs have mostly been dispatched on the Friday/Saturday and arrived release day but I did have an item once taken until the Friday after release to arrive.

As for packaging they use cardboard boxes not jiffy bags.

I agree. Very pleased so far. They seem to take a day extra to deliver stuff after getting a 'your item has been posted' email compared to Amazon but all their packages have been in Amazon style envelopes and a large box for the Tarantino set.

Very happy to recommend on my experiences so far.

Got another question regarding Sainsbury's, do they have a pre-order price guarantee? As I've made a few pre-orders with a discount code, and now the price of the items have dropped, so will I be charged that lower price when it is released and with the code on it?

Sainsbury’s Entertainment operates a price promise.

If you pre-order a title and the price drops on the date of release, we will charge your payment card with the lower price or refund the difference on the release date – if payment has been taken.

Sounds like your mind is made up with you choosing to order from them, I'll throw in my experiences too though .

They're pretty solid! I have no complaints.

As for when you receive things, it's usually between release day or release day + 2.

I generally get things either on the day of release or the day after, only once has it gone to +2.

Their prices (especially for games) are fabulous this year! I have no idea why, but some right bargains (see the new Hitman game for like £27 or something ).

Hope your potential orders are all good!

Also, I don't know whether it's possible to change the delivery address once you order, I emailed them earlier to ask as I'm moving houses soon lol.

I believe you will as my last Xbox 360 game dropped in price on release day and they refunded me the difference and this was even with a 20% discount code that had already dropped the price of the game below the new reduced price.

Best prices for video games, DVDs, music and blu rays. Always dispatch early so it arrives on release date or before. Always takes less than 48 hours for a product to be shipped. Takes a bout 3/4 days for delivery. You get Nectar points on all orders. Will receive special offers such as the current 'Spend £25 on games and get £5 off'. Sainsbury's now offer more exclusive content than ever before eg 3 Disc Hunger Games. Plus if you are a Sainsbury's Colleague such as myself you get 10 to 15% off everything which bumps the price right down for example I just got the Hunger Games on blu ray for £12.74. They also have a pre-order price guarantee and products are shipped in tight secure cardboard packages. Customer service is always fast to respond and very good if you have a problem or need to return/replace something.

My copy of Hunger Games was also dispatched Thursday, and arrived the following Thursday.

Just ordered Pulp Fiction for a fiver and Inglourious Basterds for £6. Thought they were pretty good prices. Ordered from Sainsburys before and haven't had any problems. The estimated delivery time seems a bit long compared to other sites but we'll see. I don't really mind the wait to be honest, I'm in no rush for them.

Could be a long wait still waiting for No Country For Old Men in the £5 offer and now almost a month and not shipped. Is getting into theHut / Zavvi territory of failing to get new stock.
