Living room setup, nothing too fancy.

Got a Pioneer 5020 a few weeks ago which necessitated new furniture. It's always amazing to me how difficult it is to find something you like that also does most of what you want functionally. Anyway, after 3 weeks of looking we settled on a piece. I think it looks cool as hell

and the wife likes it almost as much as I do.

Unfortunately that's a 60G PS3 so I'll see how that goes heatwise. This is basically the same situation with the PS3 when I first got it but for the last year or so the PS3 was sitting on the floor on a piece of black marble.

Display: Pioneer PDP 5020FD
Receiver: Sony STR DA 3300ES
Blu-ray/DVD/CD/SACD: PS3 60G
Minidisc: Sony ?
Cable TV/Internet: Scientific Atlanta ? HD box / Cox hispeed modem
Speakers: Boston Acoustics; T830 LF & RF, ? LS & RS (in ceiling), PV600 sub, no center

Nice weathered stand- I think heat might be a serious consideration.

With the Receiver and the PS3 and whatever it's sitting on.

I would put the PS3 at the bottom...more breathing room! That begs the question however, does it fit there?

Thanks. That'a an MD deck under the PS3 so no heat issues there.

I've thought about putting the PS3 down on the bottom. It would fit nicely there and sort of showcase the PS3.

I set it up this way initially because I'm trying to hide that fugly gray SA cable box on the bottom.

Ahhh. Love that movie as well. Yes, that is the film. A very good film by Luc Besson (Fifth Element, The Profesional (Leon), etc..).
