This is a Universal release and I've been having problem with their BD's. After a failed try with other Universal movies I try some Disney BD and work just fine.

Where are you guys located? I have no trouble with Hellboy 2 or any Universal title on my PS3. I would definitely try some other titles and see if you can connect to the BD-Live servers at all as an initial step. I know there has been reported issues outside of the US, which is why I asked.

I'm using wireless, but other than plugging in my network settings into the PS3, I didn't have to open any ports or anything like that.

If the servers are down temporarily the BD-Live experience will not work.

Default Samsung BD-P1500 BD-Live

I also had problems using Universal BD-Live on my Samsung BD-P1500, I had no problems using Sonys' BD-Live though. I have tried several times at different times of the day. I would imagine then, that there is still a Samsung BD-P1500 firmware issue with Universals' BD-Live.
If you have trouble getting BD-Live at all, switch off blu-ray player, then switch off modem and router. Then 1) Restart Modem. 2) Restart Router. 3) Restart blu-ray player, this should get it working if the network settings are right on your player. I.e, set to Auto.
Also although I know this is new technology, I would suggest it is not quite ready. Hi-Def aside, how many of you have had problems even loading the film? I have had freezes, blank screens, etc. Still a way to go I would say.

Knock on wood- outside of a couple damaged discs from Blockbuster online- no issues at all. I know it sounds like the PS3 fanboy wagon is rolling once again, but I honestly think that in that respect the PS3 has it over any other player.
