How many old movies will come out on blu-ray?

How do they decide what movies will come out on blu-ray? Obviously all new releases will, but they can't come out with every single movie ever made on blu-ray?

there are lots of old movies out now, like The Searchers for example.
as far as all movies ever made? no, even DVD doesn't have every movie ever made.
i think Blu-ray will be widely adopted in like 3-4 years, and we hope to see most DVD movies within or shortly after that.

oh yeah??? Why not? They'll likely produce every movie that has a decent demand.... and that's quite a few!

I think that's the idea in the long run, but how long that run is remains to be seen.
