Default JVC RS20 and Stewart 100" Screen

I finally got my JVC RS20 front projector and Stewart screen installed yesterday (along with 4 Bass theater seats). I'm truly amazed at the picture quality. If you can squeeze any $$ this year, I highly recommend going with a front projector. This puts my 60" Sony SXRD to shame (my daughter's got a nice TV for Wii).

I want to thank Mr. Projector himself, the Brain Sturgeon. Thanks for the advice along the way!! Pics will follow in a few days.

Hmmmm. TDK or King Kong tonight.

Brilliant! That is a fabulous FP combination. Congrats, and welcome to the big screen club.

Both King Kong and TDK (as well as most high quality BD's) will be stunning in that setup. King Kong has a bit better PQ, but it is a bit heavy on the CG. I preferred TDK's more natural feel. 300 is also awesome on FP systems. Although it is (purposefully) grainy, the scene of young King Leonidas coming into sharp focus out of the background bokeh (blur) on an FP system is just breathtaking. The moonlit wolf scene with the young king will also look spectacular with the RS20's high sequential contrast. I'm sure you will be watching many of your BD's again on the big screen-- it's a whole new experience!

I agree - Front Projection is the way to go!

Front Projection has breathed new life into my DVD's and Blu-Rays, and the quality is nothing short of stunning.

When I put TDK on, I honestly thought I was looking through a giant window!
