It looked like he wouldn't be in it due to Marvel being cheap, but now he's apparently signed a long term deal with Marvel to play Nick Fury in Iron Man 2, The Avengers, Captain America and nine future Marvel films.

This is good news. I'm glad that this deal could go through, seeing as recent news surrounding MARVEL not being able to sign anyone. Hopefully, the Avengers movie, as well as the others, will be sweet.

SWEET!!! At first I was totally against him being cast as Nick Fury & even when I saw him in Iron Man (however brief it was) I wasn't really for it. Though for some reason in the past few months or so, he's grown on me. So I'm all for it now.

That's a big contract except that I'm sure his roles will be minimal (my guess). I doubt he'll have more than a couple scenes per movie save for a SHEILD or Nick Fury movie and maybe Avengers.

While I would rather have the original Nick Fury, I'm glad that that he signed on for continuity purposes.

That's 5 right there.

If only a few of those have a sequel {likely Avengers} that'll easily cover 9 movies.

But... think of it another way, how cool would a Nick Fury Agent of SHIELD movie be?

doesn't mean he is definitely doing 9, but he's contracted to if marvel goes through with 9. they're just covering their bases to preserve continuity. yay marvel
