Default garageinc's beginning pics (New sub question inside)

Here are some pics of the beginning. It started with the PS3 and two Blu's (Spiderman 3 and Open Season) and NBA 08(all 3 free with PS3). Then came the Mitsubishi W57733. Pay no attention to the horrible surround sound, although it has served me well for a couple years but has no business in the high def world. I think it shall be retired to the bedroom when the Onkyo 606 arrives. I am currently running 14 gauge speaker wire into the ceiling and will be mounting 6750's on the walls so any wire clutter will be gone. Oh yeah and the funds for the eD a2-300 will be coming soon.....

Thanks guys! I have a question though. Everyone is recommending the eDA2-300 for any room size but I'm wondering if it will drown out everything else. Whats the point of having this giant sub that you have to turn down to match the other speakers? I know future proofing is important but it could be years before the theatre goes into a huge room. Can anyone shed some light on this?

The size of the sub doesn't mean it will drown out the rest of the system at all. That is a common misconception that a large sub will be too loud for a certain sized room and smaller subs are better. That is completely untrue. Setting the sub properly to integrate with the rest of the system is what you should try to do.

No offense, but how about a new paint color. It's showing up purpleish on this end? Red curtains? Kinda confused, please excuse me.

I like the setup, just not the colors.

No, honestly - I don't know whether you did it or your place came like that, but it's a great pattern. Coming from someone who's dealt with either popcorn or drywall ceilings all the time!

Polks set to arrive tomorrow the 30th! 16awg wire also waiting to be ran. Had too much going on this past week to run it. Maybe the 1st I'll have time. Will keep you posted.

Default RM6750's

Got home yesterday and had a nice size box waiting for me in the garage! I have to admit I was surprised by the weight of these little speakers. I've never owned a set of speakers with such a nice build quality. Also, I must proudly state that the new sub dwarfs the one thats running now. I know its only a middle man until the eD sub becomes mine but I am excited to hear it. I'm afraid to hook these speakers up to the current receiver. Should I wait until I get the 606 to hook them up? Or should I run the new 16awg wires and enjoy them with the tiny baby machine I have now?
Thanks!

Default New pics!

6750's were installed yesterday. I had the day off so I went nuts and tore the room apart. Let me know what you think. Also remember the black lining for the back of the tv stand is not installed yet.

Cool set up, but get that curtain off the back of your DLP, it will over heat and blow your bulb.

Ive got the curtain trimmed around the TV so no vents are covered. I am however looking for a fan or two to put behind everything.
