Leo DiCaprio to star Christopher Nolan's 'Inception' - Blu-ray Forum

DiCaprio, coming off "Revolutionary Road" and "Body of Lies," will next be seen starring in the Martin Scorsese-directed "Shutter Island" at Paramount

This project just got a bit more interesting.

DiCaprio has been a pretty good judge of scripts over his career, so it sounds like Nolan has cooked up something great if DiCaprio agreed to do it. Or perhaps DiCaprio just wants to work with Nolan because he's considered one of the best in the world right now. Who knows. I haven't seen Body of Lies, but I've heard a lot of mixed things about it. For the most part DiCaprio has picked some good movies to work on in his career.

There's a possibility we'll get a sci-fi mind flick from a Nolan-DiCaprio combo on the level of 'The Prestige'.

He's been great in pretty much everything I've seen him in. One movie that I think gets overlooked a lot is Catch Me If You Can. It has 3 HUGE players involved (Spielberg, Hanks, DiCaprio) but because of their other career accomplishments it has kind of slid under the radar. I think it's a great movie though.

I just had an idea. DiCaprio in Batman 3 as The Riddler. I think he could do an excellent job playing a dark version of the Riddler like the one in Batman: The Animated Series. Working on a separate movie together is a good way to get that foot in the door.

I don't know if I'd cast him as the Riddler... but he definitely has the chops for a Nolan villain.

its kind of interesting
i havent seen much of Leo's work personally
so im not sure how this is going to turn out, but if nolan trusts him for the role, then he must be a great fit for whatever the role is

now the question is....
who will Bale play?

because, Nolan = me watching most times

i mean thor will be a tough opponent
but this is the dude that brought batman back to all his bad *** glory

I wonder if WB is playing games and trying to lure comic book fans to see the Nolan movie instead of Thor just to mess with Marvel's bottom line a bit. Reminds me of Hugh Jackman's line in the Prestige, "Call it a...professional rivalry."

they are kind of calling out several other movies

they put lantern up against the smurfs (ok thats not the toughest battle)
harry potter against avengers (i'll be seeing avengers, but harry potter is a tough box office opponent)
inception against thor
and i believe several other movies on the same day as other studios big movies

WB has grown a pair it looks like

Yeah, they're kinda throwing the gauntlet down. LOL. I'm not a Potter fan so Avengers is a far more appealing one for me. Iron Man 2, Inception, and Avengers are my most anticipated of 2010 so far. This year is kind of a dry slate for me. I'm looking forward to Public Enemies but not much else at the moment.

the next 3 years looks to be great for me

over those years i will be seeing, public enemies, terminator salvation, transformers 2 (and 3 if it comes out in '11), wolverine, fast and furious, iron man 2, green lantern, thor, cap america, avengers, spiderman 4 (2011 i belive), batman hopefully but probably not until 2012 though, and a bunch more im forgetting

i think its like 20-25 films that i want to see over the next three years
and thats just the ones that are announced as of now

Wolverine definitely has my interest. Such a kickass character.
