Haha, I was in the same boat, except didn't want monitor 50's. I'm still probably gonna get the t90e's though. But sucks to know you missed a great deal. I personally think they are gonna only get more expensive but they don't do any 30 day price guarantees so purchase at your own risk.

I was looking at investing in some T90e towers and am mad that I missed the deal, but I can wait. As it is I can't use it with my current apartment, they were going to be used if I moved into a townhouse. So I have some time to wait for a good deal.
Or maybe all this waiting will let me save for some better speakers, like Boston or B&W. ![]() Last edited by tlmaclennan; 02-25-2009 at 08:32 PM. Reason: Spelling. |

All you guys who end up waiting around for the T90's and the older monitor series to do down on price are going to miss out on the whole speaker in the end anyway regardless of price. Some might not be aware that Polk discontinued the Monitor and Euro line way back in August for a more sleek and modern looking TSi line. Jump on it. Most people ended up waiting around to get the M70s for a lower price than est.$250 ea. and missed out on the speaker all together. Word for the wise, jump on it and look at it as if you're not paying $300 for just one, you're buying one and getting one free.

Yea Audiophile that's what I wound up doing. I searched and no one had any monitor 60's or t90e's so I took that as a sign and jumped on em. If newegg is the only game in town and they know it, why would they lower the price anytime soon? So now I can sleep easy knowing my order went through!

LOL, I think I've already talked in PM's with most of you, but if anyone's in the Milwaukee, WI area still looking for these please drop me a PM.
As far as "wait" vs. "buy it now"... I say don't wait. These are going fast, and once they're gone, they're gone. They're unfortunately not "high-end" enough to really end up on Audiogon, so you're looking at used from ebay at that point. If you can find them within a decent price buy them. Just don't spend more than you would on the TSi line since that's the same thing. Otherwise, wait for the TSi line to drop a bit, or consider looking at companies like Energy. |

Either the margin was too little for Polk, or they wanted to compete with shinier speakers, so away went the Monitor line. Too bad since they were a damned good value speaker. Oh, another place to check is the Polk forums since members there will occasionally sell their equipment. Last edited by aramis109; 02-26-2009 at 01:53 AM. |

Damn I got mine quick! Probably cus of the fact that I'm in Vegas and it shipped out of California. And those T90e's are even more beautiful in person. Now I have to wait 7 and a half hours before I can go home and hook em up. Ugh. But I have eye candy in the mean time. What's with the dual speaker wire inputs? That might be a noob question. Is it like if you wanna hook up an amp and a receiver? Or like I read somewhere, if you are doing 5.1 on a 7.1 receiver you can hook up the extra 2 speaker outputs to the fronts. Does that actually benefit the power going to the speakers?? That part confuses me.
