United Kingdom Eliminators (88 Films)

I can't believe nobody is talking about this.

I love this movie to death.

Eliminators (1986) is one of the greatest cult movies ever produced in the Eighties - just brilliant from start to finish. It's basically a superhero team composed of Mandroid (a cyborg), a ninja, a mercenary, a female scientist who happens to be a Colonel too and a small, ridiculous flying robot! LMAO.

Everyone should be a fan of "Eliminators" in the world.

Some great Denise Crosby side-boob action in it, too.

You can't believe no one's talking about something that 88 Films have stealth released via their website only?

Hmmmm...

If I hadn't visited their Facebook page AFTER seeing this thread, I'd never have known it was released.

Any way, ordered my copy. Can't wait.

Eliminators is great fun, but Crosby connoisseurs know that her Red Shoe Diaries episode is liable to cause friction burns...

You're right! But I suspect they will do more with it in the future to come.

But if you buy the Shout Factory double feature The Dungeonmaster / Eliminators you'll get 2 films for the price of one! Although 88's version should be a new scan?

It'll almost certainly be the same master, just the first time it's been released in the UK so "brand new" to these shores. Happy to be proven wrong though!

Well this is annoying. I've got Eliminators tied into part of a bulk pre-order at HMV that's now partially fulfilled, hence can't cancel via the site.

I would love if they released other Full Moon films that they normally wouldn't release in limited fashion via website. Maybe we can get Dollman vs. Demonic toys and the rest of the Puppet Masters that way.

So, I'm confused. Which studio has the better transfer of this film, or are they both the same? The thread is unclear.

I don't think there have been any reviews/comparisons, so no one really knows. There's no reason to think the transfers won't be identical, so the only difference(s) would potentially be in the encode.

Not put in yet, watching Ray Donovan.

That's not happening anymore.

BD exclusive to their website, (1000 copies), with wider release being DVD only.

I would copy across the exact quotes from 88 Films themselves, (via their FB page), but I can't be arsed.

Some questions (containing spoilers) for those who rewatched the movie recently or hours ago:

1- Is the fight between
[Show spoiler]Mandroid and Cyborg Reeves
enough long and exciting, and is
[Show spoiler]Mandroid
kicking ass in it anyway, despite
[Show spoiler]the bad/tragic ending for him
?

2- I still don't remember how
[Show spoiler]Mandroid dies in the big final fight
... someone mentioned he
[Show spoiler] dies TWICE
at the end, WTF? LMAO.

3- What are S.P.O.T.'s powers? Someone mentioned "teleportation" but I don't remember that at all...

Thank you for the feedback.
