Default B&w cm8 or cm9? Help!

Hey Guys,

I have the CM Centre but I am thinking of upgrading to the CM2 Centre as I found an ex demo for £500.00 . I am using 2 x M1 sats for the rear surrounds and PV1 sub, wanting to know if I should buy the CM8 or the CM9's for the front L and R..

I have the PV1 sub so I thought maybe the CM8's will be enough for me .. will this be a good match with the CM 2 Centre speaker or shall I look into the CM9's .. The CM9's are alot more expensive and don't really want to spend alot more if the PV1 sub can compensate with the CM8's also need to know which is better paired with the CM 2 Centre..

Thanks for all your help guys..

Also will the M1's for the rear surrounds be good enough for this set up or shall I look into upgrading them soon ?

PS: Do you think the CM2 Centre is a good deal for £500.00? anyone interested in buying my CM Centre please PM Me.. Thanks..

Thanks.

The CM8's are a great value and to these ears give up nothing other than extension to the CM9.

The price you got on the cmc2 is very good and i would go for it if you can get a decent amount for your old center.

It looks like you don't have too much room for floorstanding speakers so thats something else to consider. The cm8's are of nice compact size, pretty low in price and i have yet too see any overly bad reviews of it.

It all depends on what you think you need. For your room you might not even need bigger speakers and it may be your "upgradnitis" forcing your hand. hehe. Be smart and consider other models/brands as well and be sure before you purchase anything. Used prices of av equipment isn't too good.

Too save a little money the m1 will do great for surrounds. Also they are nicely small. But ofcause the cm1/cm5's are the real matching speakers but for surround i don't think that it will matter greatly.

But yes personally i would say go for it.

in your room you might be just as good with the CM5s. Put them on some stands and give them a little room to breathe.
