wireless video streaming - Blu-ray Forum

hey im having some trouble with streaming my video to my ps3... i got the music to stream but it wont recognize video and ive even converted to mpeg 4 avc any tips????

Lucky you... I can't even get any of it to stream.

Maybe once every 10 tries it will work for about 10 seconds on audio.

I've given up, and will wait for updates.

it seems to do it only when it wants to.....

I could try it until I'm blue in the face and then once I hit purple....they are there...

I had a folder with MPEG-4 encoded files selected by itself and there appeared to be no rhyme or reason why it showed the movies...or why it didn't...

I just had to keep starting and shutting down the server...

it doesn't matter, though....the movie kept skipping every 2 minutes....

edit: this wasn't even wireless....I used a wired connection...

damn maybe its not worth it as of now... oh well guess ill just transfer through memory stick

What program are you using? Which OS? What type of video are you streaming?

I use TVersity, a free program that works well, on top of XP right now. I haven't had any media files on my linus box so I haven't run that way yet.

I've noticed that high quality video has trouble over wireless. It has no problem over wired, but wireless seems to stutter and have to rebuffer.

Audio and video streaming have worked perfectly for me. I'm using wireless to my AT&T router to my Windows XP machine with WMP11.

I've been able to get it to work with WMP11 only! Some problem(s) with NAS - Sony should fix this asap because it is a great feature.

i have the same setup as heresay, and im trying to send an avi but ive tried mpeg 4 avc and still nothing
