Default Wallpaper advice..

Hi, I'm getting my bedroom decorated soon, and I'm thinking of getting some floral type wallpaper, see attachment.

My first question is, do you think this will look too much on all four walls being the pattern that it is?

Secondly, will it take the attention away from my lcd tv surround sound etc?

At the moment I've just got painted walls, very bare, so maybe the wallpaper will make things stand out more?

I would take that image and paste it several times into an image-editing program so that you could get a larger swatch of it. Then, print that out on several sheets of paper and temporarily tape them up. That'll give you the best answer, I think.

I don't care for wallpaper at all..... mostly because what looks good now.... will likely feel out-dated in 5-10 years..... Paint is a timeless classic.

For the price of wallpaper you can get some nice art for the walls, etc.. to add more color and design elements if you like.

If it's a living room etc.... consider crown molding perhaps too.

Ralph Lauren makes a textured paint that isn't an "over-the-top" texture... and it looks fantastic... it's pricey, and doesn't go a long ways, but when considering the cost of wallpaper, it's certainly a good option.

Not a bad idea that, only problem is I don't have a printer lol, *slaps wrist* thanks though.

I might have to look into that if the price is right, I've had plain coloured paint for the past 8 years so wanting to get some colour in there now, thanks for the advice.

Look into a good color printer and you can do some awesome things with pictures. You can do some massive pictures with programs that split a standard picture up into a near wall sized picture.

I still need to do this with those AVP posters that Sky network had recently.

I also don't really prefer wallpaper for my walls, for similar reasons to what Beta mentioned. That being said, if you are still going with wallpaper, it's going to be really hard to tell if a design is going to look good all over the walls when the only image you have for reference is a thumbnail. Just something to consider.
