Default What's your opinion on this laptop?

http://www.qvc.com/qic/qvcapp.aspx/v...0.cm_scid.PROM

I need a new laptop and I want to get one with a blu-ray player. I want to get it from QVC because of their 5-6 monthly payments.

Anyone ever buy a laptop from them?

That notebook is a decent one, 8gb is good you will have good multi tasking speed. Hdd is up to par with what most come with but unless you have a portable hdd you may run out of space if you have many movies or manage all your movies on your pc through xbmc.

Take note if this is your first HP they run dam hot. Both HPs i have run very hot. As well as hundreds of others ive dealt with. The dv7 are an overall decent pc LED display is nice. Im biased towards intel vs amd processors but its still a quadcore, also nice 2 3.0 USBs.

I actually just bought a DV7 a few weeks ago. My specs are similar to the one posted in the OP, but mine is slightly better. I have the 1920x1080 anti-glare screen, too. The laptop actually runs shockingly cool even when I'm multitasking like crazy with video and audio. I say shockingly because my brother bought a DV7 at the beginning of the year and his runs a lot hotter than mine.
