Default Lost not really announced

"Lost: The Complete Third Season -- The Unexplored Experience" follows December 11 on DVD and Blu-ray Disc. The 23-episode, seven-disc set comes with a one-on-one with star Matthew Fox, a featurette on "The Others," a documentary chronicling 24 hours in production and a selection of never-before-seen flashbacks. Also included are behind-the-scenes looks at 10 episodes, audio commentaries, deleted scenes and bloopers."

Interestingly its the only one mentioned as a Blu-Ray release...all others are only mentioned as DVD releases.

Nice and weird.

Wonder why Greys Anatomy is not in BD. Hopefully Lost seasons 1 and 2 will be out on BD by the time the 3rd season is. Heres to hoping!

I have to be honest, I'm very excited for this...but also not so sure I'll be in line the first day to get it. I can only imagine how expensive this set will be for a 23 episode set. And if they choose to release seasons 1 and 2, then I'm in for a heap of trouble.

Is the DVD 7 disks or the Blu-ray 7 disks or both? If so why would they be the same?

That's great, we finally have a firm release date for the Lost Blu-ray release. Now if only Fox would give us a date for 24 on Blu-ray. I also wish they would release all 3 seasons of Lost on Blu-ray. I can see them not wanting to do it with 24 as there are 6 seasons already, but 3 is a much easier pill to have to swallow. Even if you already purchased the first two seasons (which I haven't) you'd only be repurchasing two, as opposed to 5 with 24. They could have lessened the blow by releasing the first two earlier in the year to coincide with Lost's return from holiday/Winter hiatus (in the U.S. at least, not sure how they run it elsewhere in the world) then given us the third season in time for the '07 holidays as they are planning now.

I swear, if Fox announces 24 for the same 2007 holiday season, I'll be really angry.

Hear hear! We need cross market BDs to get a wide range of people to buy the BD versions than the DVD ones. Seriously!

I second 24 on Blu Ray. I will even pay an astounding price point if I have to.

I'm sure season 6 will be out in December along with the DVD set...hopefully the previous seasons will then follow

Just goes to show you not to believe anything until the studio officially announces it.

Lost on Blu-ray was never scheduled to begin with. Disney is just correcting an erroneous report. December is a whole six months away. There are plenty of time to add releases and I won't be surprise a Blu-ray version will be release the same time as the SD DVD version.

Wow. The media is just about as brutal as can be.

Well, at least we know that Disney isn't going neutral.
