Default Movies You Liked the 2nd Time Around

Haven't seen a category like this. Let's hear the movies that you just couldn't get into the first time, but now absolutely love...or even like.

I like Resident Evil, but I couldn't stand it the first 2 times I watched it...mostly because I was a Michelle Rodreguez hater. Now I love the trilogy.

Another one was Fight Club. I don't think I got it the first time around. Now it's one of my all-time favorites.

I'll have to add Napoleon Dynamite to the list too. Also:

Hot Rod - didn't get it the first time...now it's one of my favorite comedies.
Boogie Nights - great movie 2nd time around

Fight Club is one of those movies that you have to grow into because there's so much you miss the first time around. The fact that Helena Bonham Carter is in it helped me like it from the start.

Me either. It feels random the first time.

Across The Universe, The Matrix sequels, The Chronicles of Narnia: TLTWTW, Twilight...

Tried Across the Universe twice, I actually think I liked it less the second time around. I've always loved the Matrix trilogy but like LoTR they are not standing the test of time that well.

The Prestige I thought that some of the stuff was from way out in the left field but then I watched it again and it all made sense... I need to buy that one.

I still love ATU =P.

Not sure if you mean special effects? Because they hold up at least as well as Spiderman...

What I mean is I used to like them a lot more than I do now, probably has to do with recent releases like Revenge of the Sith, Batman Begins and Dark Knight...

The Spirit. First time I saw it I was horribly disappointed. Second time through I enjoyed it thoroughly. When you go into it expecting the campy tongue-in-cheek humor as a purposeful plot device then it's a great flick

Meaning I used to consider the Matrix trilogy and LoTR to be top 10 all time movies and no longer do, not really that complicated.

They're nothing like Star Wars or Batman movies.
