Default players analog question

ywah i really dont know about analogs or anything but what does the anolog do i see that are 2.0,5.1,7.1 wat does that mean. Also if i have a 120hz tv does it matter wat bluray player i have to get the best picture out of it?? thanks for your help

If your receiver does not have an HDMI v1.1 or better input, you can't output the new lossless audio formats digitally. That means you need to decode them in the player and use analog output, A "2.0" analog output is stereo only, which is not really worth much if you have a surround system. A "5.1" analog output has left, right, center, left surround, right surround, and subwoofer analog outputs, and a "7.1" analog output adds left back and right back surrounds. Surround receivers typically have a 5.1 or 7.1 analog input for just this sort of connection, which lets you hear the lossless audio formats.

You would probably want a Blu-ray player that can output 1080p/24 if you have a 120Hz TV that will accept a 1080p/24 signal. Most players offer that capability.
