I like the furniture and general setup. A speaker upgrade would really make a difference. You should put these in your HT gallery.

What is your equipment list?

Too much grain in those pics, and it may have been the director's intent but I don't care for it.

Entertainment center looks cool.

The Pioneer HTP-2920!!!! Great stuff. Get more out of your subwoofer by switching out its crappy 22AWG wires that it came with and using some 14AWG wires instead. If you need some short runs for it, let me know, I'll send you some free of charge. It really puts more power to the sub.

I use one in my bedroom. You're doing it right too, by toeing the fronts in a bit! Putting them on stands would open up your soundstage a lot, by the way. Have you run the setup on it to establish your speaker distances from your listening position?

$2,000?! Whoo boy, that's enough to have orgasmic sound. Let me think, and I'll post back on this thread later tomorrow. Or today.

I want to send him towards Monitor Audio, Jason - solely after seeing those great prices you threw at me earlier today. Pair him up with a powerful entry-level HSU sub and a decent Yamaha or Denon receiver...I'm drooling with the prospect of this. Although remember, it doesn't have to be in this color, I'm just liking maple right now,

A pair of Monitor Audio Bronze BR5 towers...and a BRLCR center...

A HSU VTF-1 sub...maybe a VTF-2...

A Denon 1909 as a receiver...

and we can keep the surrounds for a bit later, but now you have a kick-ass 3.1 setup that isn't one of your run-of-the-mill setups. It would be FANTASTIC, I'm sure we could all agree on this. Maybe try Bluejeanscable.com for higher quality cables than Monoprice to get the most out of your great new speakers and sub.

How important is that furniture vs. ditching it and going with a wall mount install?

i really like the furniture, was actually wondering if it would be possible to mount in on the wall above the center piece and put the center speaker below the tv, what do you think??
