Figured this was a much needed thread after PeterTHX had me almost falling out of my chair laughing when he posted this priceless gem of an insult in a thread of passionate exchanges about Lucas films:

"...HD DVD, the Jar-Jar Binks of the disc world" - PeterTHX

So much did I get surprise taken by this great parting shot, that I thought I'd check in with all you guys and start a Hall of Fame for great HD DVD laughs. Please quote some of the best laughs you find in this forum, right here in the HD DVD Laugher Hall of Fame!!

I've seen some funny stuff in this forum. Please share! We all need a good laugh from time-to-time.

This is probably one of my favorite HD DVD quotes:

"THIS IS SOOOO FRUSTRATING!!! I just exchanged my Ultimate set and now revolutions and matrix 1 work, but reloaded gives me "40864203" again. Rubbing the disc with a shirt only works for 1 play. That meant I would have to rub it every time I wanted to watch it!!!"

boiling the disc was classic. HDDVD gives comics more material than when Clinton was in the White House

Some HD DVD fanboy kept on posting how much better HD DVD was, and then he started cussing, a lot. The thread got closed. The guy came back at 3:00 am and made 4 accounts. VC-1 is so great we can dial down the bit rate to 9 Mbps or less and still have it transparent to the master!

I would have to say the boiling HD DVD comments, then googling "boiling HD DVDs" and finding out that this is really what they do was pretty damn funny to me!!
