Default A Challenge For Blu-ray Owners!!

On October 16th Transformers on HD-DVD will be released. I am challenging all BluRay owners to go to their local store and purchase at least on BluRay movie. You now there are titles in BluRay you want. Just buy on next week.

This coming week BluRay has not really released any big movie and I feel that if we can show that BD can continue to win in the sales dics numbers especially with such a big titles as Transformers on HD-DVD the we will show that BD has the legs to beat HD-DVD in this format war.

Let's overturn HD-DVD's apple cart. They are looking for a win here in weekly dics sales. So go out next week -- maybe even on October 16th and make that BD purchase.

Default easy to do in Canada

This challenge of purchasing Blu ray titles the week of the 16 of Oct will be a breeze in Canada as many titles that were released in the US are FINALLY coming to us up north. Until this tuesday we have been unable to buy Troy: Directors Cut, Day of the Dead, Dawn of the Dead, and Alexander: Revisited .... which I will mention that I found at Best Buy with no price tag, and when I took it to the counted the Manager quickly removed the 4 copies on the shelf and told me to come back on Oct 16th. After an upset look on my face and a few choice words about the competency of their staff, I will be getting a 10% discount this tuesday.

And out of a little blu pride, I have a backdrop on the laptops at work with an image of optimus vs megatron with large lettering, BOYCOTT TRANSFORMERS.

I'm buying several.

I think it's important to try to outbuy the HD DUD-ers.

It helps that there are buy one get one free Blu Ray sales at just about all my local stores (Best Buy, FYE.) And many titles have been marked down to $14.99 at Best Buy.

Cool

The only place for me to buy blus in my area is Walmart, and I have to drive to the next town. But if they have anything new there (which is a 50/50 chance) I'll pick one title up to counter a Transformers sale.

I don't do buy days.

HOWEVER, the Disney BOGO deals starting today (Sunday) and the Frys.com deals caused me to get nine titles, five of which won't ship until later on the 22nd. So four from me this week and the five later.

I might make that a five this week and a five later for an even 10. I need a second job. Anybody looking for a copywriter?

Yeah, don't they base sales figures per week, not day? Will it even matter, do they release sales figures per total blu/hd sales or just per title sales?

I don't believe Amazon ships on Sunday, so ordering on Amazon today (their BOGO sale has a lot of movies listed) is likely to work too (although if they sell out it might help the next week's numbers, which matter too).

I'm buying about 10 titles this week.

Think I'll go into a few stores, put all their HD DVD copies of Transformers in my cart and relocate them to other parts of the store.

well with the prices Frys have on thier blus...i have $160 lined up to spend this tues, so thatll get me about 6-8 movies before i have to tap into the bank account... so i wouldnt be surprised if I leave frys with at least 10movies and none would be SD transformers(SCREW PARAMOUNT!)

The info we have is that Amazon is included (and seems to be backed up by things like an older title that was on sale on Amazon sneaking into the top 10).
