Region Locked Question - Blu-ray Forum

If I'm going to ask my dad to buy me a Blu-ray in Greece, can I play it on my PS3 here that I bought from the Philippines?

Greece is Region B I think and Philippines is Region A so as long as the Blu-ray Movie is not region locked, I can play it on my Region A PS3 even though the Blu-ray Movie is Region B?

Another question: How much is a Blu-ray Movie in Greece? maybe somewhere near Athens.. Because Here in the Philippines it costs about $32. I just want to know the price difference so I would know if I'll just ask him to buy there or I'll just buy here.

If the Greek Blu-ray disc is Region locked B it won't play in your Region A player.
If the disc is region "free" (or A B C) then it should play without problem unless it's menu (or the program) is in 50Hz (50i).

For example, my dad buys me a Dark Knight Blu-ray Region B. I can still play it on my Region A PS3 right? Because the Blu-ray of Dark Knight is Region Free right?

Your example is correct. So give him a list of titles that are verified region ALL.
