Default I just bought a 1080p HDTV, now I need a Blu-ray player.

Hello all.

I just bought a 42 inch 1080p television from best buy, and I am now looking to purchase my first stand-alone BD player.

1. Audio is not a big concern.
2. I would like to have as many bells and whistles, but cost is a slight issue. 3. I'm looking for something that is easily hackable; region free is a must. 4. Playback abaility is a major concern; I need something that can play as many different formats as possible.
5. Ohh, and up-converting is something I will need as well seeing that I have 500+ dvds.
6. I'm not exactly sure how pandora or netflix works, but I do have wi-fi in my home if necessary.

Basically, I am just looking for the biggest bang for my buck. I am open to any questions or comments you guys may have. I've been considering the samsung bd-1500. Someone steer me in the right direction please. I'd be thankful for any feedback.
