Default new to surround sound...

ive been looking for a system for my new apartment. the living room isnt huge but a decent size. keep in mind it is also an apartment so i have someone below me who im am sure doesnt want to hear Rambo blasting his way through their walls. Im looking at 2 possible choices so far. one from bestbuy which is on sale, a Sony - BRAVIA 5-1-Ch. Micro Home Theater System which has gotten pretty good reviews or the Sony Home Theater System - (DAVHDZ273) which is available from target. any suggestions would be great.

The Micro would be great, on the DAVHDZ273 you won't be able to get any HD audio...

Do you have a blu ray player? If so I recommend this system, you wont get HD audio per say, you can get linear PCM mix.

Or if you are looking for simplicity since I live in an apartment also, you can do a soundbar system, this Sony one has 3 HDMI inputs on the subwoofer and its a nice little system. Just read the reviews.

I recommend you stick to the advice in the link Moefiz provided above. HTiBs are convenient, but you could do sooooooo much better with just a little time and research. Good luck with whatever you decide though.
