Angry Amazon - WTF??? - Star Trek: TNG Price Hike

Ok, I finished watching season 1 of TNG last night and I wanted to pick up season 2 for this weekend. I head over to Amazon and I about crap myself. All the seasons are now $49.99 give or take a dollar. WTF is up with that?

I paid $38.99 only a week ago for season 1. That was a decent price. Hell if I am going to pay $50 for a season! I don't get it? Is it because of the movie coming out? Why would they increase the price $10 dollars?

Anyone know a cheaper place to get these? Don't say ebay because I don't trust people when it comes to movies on there. Crap bootlegs and imports. No thanks.

Walmart has them at $39.86.

Barnes & Noble has them at $41.99 and there is a 10% off coupon J3W8T9D

You might try the sellers at the Amazon marketplace. I've had very good luck with them in the past. It could be too that the price Amazon stated was a temporary hike. Keep the item in your cart for a few days and see if the price drops back down.

Oooh - see this is why I like getting other minds involved. I found it readily available at B&N and can print out a 10% off coupon and pick it up TODAY! for only a few cents more than what Amazon was charging before!

I LOVE YOU

Yeah, I am going to keep it in the cart and my eyes on them. Ticks me off they did that.

So am I no doubt, but I can't wait that long to enjoy the show. I have seen episodes here and there but I wanted to watch it from start to finish. When blu comes, I will pick it up. Until then, I will enjoy an upconverted dvd

Yep, it's one of those shows that improves season by season.

Enjoy!

That's how I ended up with the entire Twilight Zone set for $99 instead of $189. Kept it in my cart for months and kept checking daily. One morning, it was $99 and I HAD to pull the trigger on it.

It's around $28.99 each at Costco in Canada, saw them today. Just thought I'll mention it for the Canucks.

Very nice! I am going to keep an eye on them as well.

I went over to Barnes & Noble and you know what? The store wants $59.99 for 1 season and that's WITH 10% off. I was like, you all don't match your own online prices? Nope.

Online is $39 bux includes 10% off and free shipping. How the hell does that work? Seriously, $20 dollars more in store? No wonder I don't shop there. Lol.

If you think that paying $50 a season is crazy then you're going to think I'm an idiot when I tell you that back in '02 when these came out, I payed either $100 or $110 per season . I love this show!

Nah, don't think your crazy. That is expensive I think, but if it's what you like - BUY IT!

I am happy I don't have to pay that much.

Wow! I am definitely getting a good deal at these prices then. They are going to get a lot lower the more time goes by.

It sucks that B & N won't price match, but at least you get the price you wanted.

I doubt they will ship in time for the weekend though.

That's almost tempting. I wish there was a way to know which stores carried what. Costco's website is not comprehensive because of the way they do business.

Costco sells the entire collections for like $299 to $349. It sounds like it might almost be cheaper to go with single seasons.

It does, but I can wait. No biggie there as long as it's a good price.
